When you see the intricate detail and workmanship involved in producing this Steel Art Work, you could be forgiven for thinking it originates in a highly mechanised factory similar to a car assembly line in the Auto industry. Work in Thailand is done a lot differently. One or two Artists will take up to 3 or 4 weeks to produce one large Art Work like a Predator, Gladiator or Jack sparrow. These impressive items are built from the ground up with no plan apart from thoughts and ideas from a very creative mind.
Below is the factory video where this form of art is produced. Most of the large pieces can be taken apart for shipping into 4 or 5 pieces which is important when handing weight up to 400 or 500 Kg.
Pictured in the video is a half completed transformer and represents about a months work by 2 Artists. When welding is completed and all the parts attached the work is polished and painted for effect and a highly durable lacquer is then applied for protection against rust and the elements.
A thought also for the environment in a world so emphasizing the need for recycling and limiting the amount of waste product. What better then producing fantastic Art Work from discarded parts.
